Community Based Financial Resource Management and Monitoring Project
Citizen oversight of public resources that uncovered revenue leakages at Malomo Trading Centre and led to reforms in revenue collection.
The project strengthened the capacity of community groups, local leaders, women and youth to monitor public resources, track expenditure and engage in local governance processes. It improved dialogue between citizens and the District Council. Identifying corruption and revenue leakages at Malomo Trading Centre led to reforms in revenue collection systems and improved financial accountability.
