Get involved

Every water point, latrine and garden in our work was built with somebody else — a community, a district officer, a donor, a volunteer. Here is how to join in.

Partner with us

We work with government institutions, international NGOs, donors, research institutions, community-based organisations and grassroots structures. If your organisation is working in WASH, health, environment, climate resilience or livelihoods in Malawi and you are looking for a local implementing partner with a 14-year field record in Ntchisi District, we would like to hear from you.

We hold an active DUNS number, NCAGE code and SAM registration, and have managed donor-funded projects from World Vision International, PEPFAR, World Connect and the Tilitonse Fund.

Support a programme

Contributions go directly into programme delivery. To give an idea of what different levels of support make possible:

  • A protected shallow well with an Afridev pump serves roughly 15 households with safe drinking water
  • A field mason certification puts a lasting construction skill into a village, and each certified mason goes on to build multiple latrines
  • A backyard garden starter pack improves dietary diversity for a household and produces a small surplus to sell
  • A community tree nursery supplies seedlings for an entire Group Village Head area

Visit the donate page to make a contribution, or contact us to discuss supporting a specific programme.

Volunteer your skills

We welcome volunteers with professional skills in public health, water engineering, agriculture, monitoring and evaluation, and communications. Get in touch through the contact page and tell us what you would like to contribute.

Work with your community structure

If you represent a Village Development Committee, Water Point Committee, Water Users Association, school or health facility in our operating area, contact us about how EWSFA can support your plans.
