HIV/AIDS and Community Health Systems

HIV/AIDS and Community Health Systems

Community-led monitoring, treatment literacy and defaulter tracing that strengthen adherence and hold health services accountable.

Through two PEPFAR-funded projects, EWSFA reached over 409,000 people with integrated HIV/AIDS, maternal, neonatal and child health, and health systems strengthening interventions.

More than 400,000 people were engaged with HIV prevention and treatment literacy messages through community outreach and radio campaigns that carried beyond Ntchisi District. We established community-led monitoring systems, trained religious leaders and peer educators, and traced defaulters back into care.
